About The Girls

The Girls, rocking out.

The Girls formed in November 2001 when brand-new Carnegie Mellon freshmen Billy, Ram, Ben, and Greg discovered a shared love for the music of Radiohead, the Pixies and similar bands. After conscripting Aaron to play drums for them, the Girls went on to play a horde of charming and entertaining live shows as well as record the six-track Nuts About You EP. When Billy chose to leave the band in September of 2002, the Girls continued to rock CMU as a four-piece and went on to record Seraphim & Saccharine, their first full-length album. In September of 2003 The Girls were joined by Tyson, who helped develop the band's sound before leaving in November of 2004. They are currently in the process of peddling their eleven-track album anywhere they can, distributing flowers and fine baked goods wherever they go.
